Forklift Ticketed Yardies – HR or Dogger optional – $38 / hr + Penalties & OT !

Job Connect is seeking Forklift ticketed Yardies with a HR Truck or Dogger license for a largely autonomous role supporting assemblers and stores staff with a leading brand in heavy vehicle manufacturing in the Eagle Farm area. 

The role involves staging parts and materials for Assemblers using Counterbalance Forklifts and using a HR license to be a backup driver to do point to point pickups and deliveries of parts. Any applicants that optionally have a Dogger license will also carry out heavy lifts of larger items like body frames and booms.

This role is largely hands off and quite autonomous once trained and confident in the role. It is ideal for someone with any background in Warehousing / Yardie work who likes carrying out tasks in a self-driven manner to support different teams in their workshops and warehouse. 

Once you know your role, you will simply be getting requests for lifts, movements and drop offs of parts and equipment from teams and be trusted to prioritise and carry out these tasks as needed.

Key Duties:

• Mainly operate Counterbalance Forklifts and if optionally Dogger ticketed, guide cranes in moving heavy frames and bodies of mobile plant
• Act as a shared resource between Assembly in workshops and the Warehouse to shift and stage parts and materials to assist their work
• Carry out single point to point runs for parts and equipment in a HR Truck if applicably ticketed, to assist if their main driver is away from work
• Unload trucks and stage equipment for teams that require extra forklift support
• Occasionally carry out manual handling to palletise smaller items or place items in correct locations for teams
