Temp Warehouse Team Leader (up to 1 Year) – $80K + Super !

Job Connect are sourcing an experienced Warehouse Team Lead for an exceptionally successful Building Supplies company in the Wacol area.

As an experienced Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor, you have successfully overseen a team of up to 10 – 15 people, you are knowledgeable on all stages of goods inwards and outwards processes, preferably in a building supplies distribution environment.

The objective of the role is to plug into the team with the Warehouse Manager to take on their established work methods and use your talents to maintain smooth operations in the team. Existing daily plan will be provided to you with scope to work in closely with the Manager to optimise running of daily business.

You will be ideal if you possess:

• Demonstrated experience leading a team of staff in Warehousing
• Forklift licence and experience on Counterbalance and High Reach to move stock and assist where necessary
• A strong grasp of any computer Warehouse Management Systems – Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable!
• Hands on approach to work alongside the team and enjoy not being micro-managed!
• Strong grasp of Receivals, Inventory Control, Cycle Counts and Dispatch process with a focus on checking match with documentation
• Naturally inquisitive to investigate discrepancies

 

The role will involve:

 

• Verifying deliveries match order requirements and are conforming for quality
• Ensure all incoming goods are in acceptable condition and receipted accurately
• Ensure stock locations are maintained & reporting on inventory levels through WMS and computer systems
• Co-ordinate with all relevant parties on stock movements
• Ensure variances are investigated and addressed by recommending while instigating process improvements
• Ensuring key deliverables and processes in safety are adhered to through fostering a culture of identifying hazards, reporting and addressing them in an efficient and effective way
