Warehouse Pickers / Forklift ticketed Storespeople – $38.19/hr + OT!

Job Connect is working with a strong and well known national brand in Building Supplies to source two long term Ongoing Casual to Permanent Warehouse Pickers / Forklift ticketed Storespeople for their Distribution Centre in the Rochedale area.

The role is focused on hand picking square packs of building supplies to build up an order pallet as you move it to the different locations with a forklift.  Once this order is picked, you take the pallet to the dispatch area for wrapping, strapping and labeling. 

The role is ideal for someone who likes active manual Picking with a mix of Forklift operating for making the day go quick. The role requires frequent and consistent sliding, flipping or lifting of 30kg packs of tiles when picking. The method you use at the time depends on the height of the pick and the safest and most appropriate method based on your onsite training. 

If you are fit, have a current forklift licence and previous experience in a Warehouse Forklift Operator position, this is for you!

 

These roles offer:

• Competitive Pay Rates of $38.19/hr + OT
• Stable afternoon shifts 3pm – 11pm available Monday to Friday, 38+ hours per week!

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Current Forklift licence with operating experience
• Ability to consistently picking items averaging 30kgs with excellent knowledge and practice of safe manual handling
• Unlimited working rights and Brisbane located to accept a long term/permanent role
• Reliable transport for reliable attendance – they have a pre-start toolbox daily for safety!  

 

The role does not require a ‘gym junkie’ to be suitable for the position but it will be crucial to have a degree of physicality and experience in a manual handling focused role.
